In Australia, August is the time of year when Spring moves across the land. Even though September is the offical month that Spring starts. I have a magnolia tree in my garden and I really wanted to show the textures in the petals which is why I use a palette knife to start. As the sun shines through those petals you can see the radiant colours and shapes from the flower.
