This is a still life drawing. I spent a few weeks, not full days, working on this at the site. Location is Homebush bay, opposite to Rhodes.
My primary focus was the ship and the mangrove trees that grow onboard. It’s just amazing how nature can bring something that was once dead, back to life in an amazing way. Even the seagulls love to sit there which is why I added one that seemed to enjoy watching me draw. There is also a slight hint in the distance of apartment buildings.
 
In WWII SS Ayrfeld was SS Corrimal, mission was to export coal and other things.
 
The turn around for prints is usually 1 week, depending on how busy they are. Plus shipping time.
