Another painting dedicated to the pollinators who keep our planet green and beautiful with their daily tasks for survival. I did make the pollinators bigger than they would be against the flowers, just because I wanted to and they are the main subjects for this artwork.
This time I have added a male, Eastern Australian, blue banded bee who is already carrying some pollen. I love listening to the sweet little hum-buzz they make and watching them dance around from flower to flower.
All these flowers; tiger and calla lilies, along with the bird of paradise are in my garden or my neighbours.
 
Again I added the Gouldian finch purely for the cuteness and colours.
Gouldian finch mainly feed on grass seeds but during breeding season they search for small flying insects to eat, who love nectar and that’s what this little feathered friend is doing in this painting.
 
A warm white background with small splashes of pollen and hints of greenery.
