The land of Australia has so many beautiful things, both above and below the ground.
This artwork has a focus on Opals, unique gems found in the ground. Formed over thousands of years these exquisite treasures, opalised animal and plant fossils, are only found in Australia.
This contemporary abstract painting was created with a build up of layers with texture, since opals are excavated it was appropriate to show not just the variance in colours these gems have, but also that fact they are sourced from the ground.
Currently set as landscape, but that can be changed to portrait view if request on the purchase.
