This painting is dedicated to the pollinators who keep our planet green and beautiful with their daily tasks for survival. Whilst painting this artwork the Bird of Paradise flowers have been flourishing right by my studio. And I have loved watching the various pollinators visiting. As for the bird, the Gouldian finch has been on my list to paint for quite some time and the reason I added this bird to this particular artwork is for the colours. Gouldian finch who mainly feed on grass seeds, during breeding season they search for flying insects to eat who love nectar and that’s what this little guy is doing.
