With this artwork I wanted to enhance those gorgeous colours of the clouds that reflect on the waters surface as the sun descends.
Lily ponds and wetlands are an ideal inspirational subject for this painting, wouldn’t we all love to have a pond like this in our own back yard.
Every year I have a few dragonflies that come to visit me, so I think they are asking me to paint them more.
I had a specific colour palette for this painting and the Pantone colour for 2023 ‘Viva Magenta’ is featured in some of the lily flower petals. This artwork will suit many interior colour palettes.
